GCPW Predators Cheerleaders Showing Community Spirit!

On March 23, 2013 the Predators Cheerleads returned for the third year in a row to show their support for MDA Muscle Walk. They have partnered with MDA for the past three years showing support for the walkers and cheering them on to the finish.

This year they were joined by cheerleaders from ASU and also the Arizona Cardinal Cheerleaders to show their support.

Great job to all the Predators Cheerleaders for their support and community spirit.

2013 POP WARNER ALL AMERICAN SCHOLARS

I would like to congratulate all 75 Gilbert Chandler Pop Warner 2013 All-American Scholars. We appreciate your hard work both on the fields, mats and in school.

Year Round Cheer

Another competition this weekend for the Year Round Cheer teams at the JamFest 2013 in Phoenix today and we had three teams competing.

The GCPW Sabers won First place in their division.

The GCPW Storm won First place in their division.

The GCPW Predators won First place in their division.

Great job ladies you represent Gilbert Chandler well. Can't wait for the next competition.

YEAR ROUND CHEER OFF TO GREAT START

The GCPW Year Round Competitive Cheer program is off to a great start of the season. 

This past Saturday the Predators Cheerleaders and Sabers Cheerleaders each competed at the Spring It On Cheer Competition in Tempe and added three more titles to our 2012 Season. 

The Sabers Cheer team took first place in their division and the Predators Cheer took first place in their division and also won Best Choreography.

The girls had a blast competing with other cheer teams and high schools.

Looking forward to watching our two other cheer teams competing at upcoming cheer competitions with the Sabers and Predators.

CONGRATULATIONS!

The GC Spurs competed Friday in the Pee Wee SuperBowl in Florida and fought hard. We are very proud of the Spurs taking Second Place in the country in the Pee Wee division.

Look out Nationals WE WILL BE BACK!

2012 POP WARNER SUPER BOWL

The Gilbert Chandler Spurs are heading to Florida to compete in the 56th Pop Warner Super Bowl. Their first game is this Saturday December 1 at 1:00pm (est).

GCPW HOME OF 5 REGIONAL TITLES

What an amazing weekend, The WESCON Regional Championship weekend started on Saturday with the GC Spurs competing against the PV Bears in an action packed game that went to the final seconds of the game. The Spurs were behind and at 1:05 left in the game scored a touchdown and the extra point to bring them ahead by 6. An amazing game. This was our first win of the weekend and the Spurs became the first GCPW team to win a National Championship and advance to Florida.

The action continued on Sunday when our four State Cheer Teams took the stage (mat) and performed their 2:30 minute routines  infront of a packed crowd. In the first session the Lady Sabers took Second place in their division and set the bar high for the remaining teams.

In the second session the Lady Storm, Lady Predators and Lady Broncos all performed great routines. The Lady Broncos placed 4th in their division which was an amazing feet since they had one cheerleader that performed with a broken toe and another with a broken arm. To add to the difficulty a player dropped out two days earlier forcing the girls to adjust the routine. This is one tough group of girls and they should be proud of their performance and taking forth in the division. We are proud of you.

The Lady Storm was cheered on by the Storm football team and took second place in their division and became the third team this weekend to advance to Florida.

The Lady Predators were next and they won their division and took first place and became the forth GCPW team to go to Florida and the first GC Cheer team to place first at the regional championships.

STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES

Gilbert / Chandler POP Warner is home to 7 Arizona State Titles.

We have 2 D2 State Championship Titles, 1 D3 State Championship Title and 4 Arizona State Cheerleading Titles.

The Rawhiders won the D3 Jr Pee Wee Championship Title, congratulations to the Coaches and players for a great season.

The Spurs and the Bengals are now advancing to the First Round of Regionals. The games will be on November 3rd.

The Sabers, Storm, Broncos and Predator Cheer teams are advancing to the Regionals Competition in Long Beach, CA on November 18th.

What a great day of football!

I was luck enough to be the President of a wonderfull winning association - we had representation in ALL 8 Eastern Conference Championship games! Way to go Gilbert/Chandler Pop Warner. All games were well played and well coached, thank you to all the coaches for their hard work!

Unfortunately the Timberwolves, Broncos and Lighning fell short but all played hard and should be proud of their teams for an amazing season!

LITTLE SCHOLARS 2012

Join us in congratulation the 2012 Little Scholars. Arizona had 342 officially receive recongnition for the National Little Scholar Program. Arizona had three 1st team all American's this year. Riley Grimes a 6th grader cheerleader from Scottsdale, Tecory Robinson a 8th grade football player from Far West and Thomas Sangillo a 8th grade football player from Far West. Congratulation to all of them.

Gilbert/ Chandler had a total of 63 Little Scholars this year including 38 2nd team All Americans and 25 Honorable Mentions.

GILBERT POP WARNER ALUMNI

Congratulations to the Gilbert POP Warner Alumni players that have gone on to play high school and now signed to play college football in the 2012 Season.

We have players that will be playing for ASU, UCLA, U of A, University of Montana and San Diego University in 2012.
